CONTEMPORARY EN SUITE RETREAT
En Suite retreats should be exactly that; a place to retire and retreat from the hassles and bothers of the day. A relaxing place to awaken late on a Saturday, to cuddle with loved ones, to catch a moment of bliss. The soothing gray palette combined with ample natural light achieves that perfect balance here.
A PRIMARY BATHROOM BUILT FOR RELAXATION
The primary bathroom should be a place of peace and respite. Part of the full gut-job on this home was to create a true en-suite retreat by taking one of the existing bedrooms, (which was tandem to the principal bedroom) and using half for the bathroom and half for a walk-in closet. The result is pure relaxation.
MODERN BATHROOM REMODEL
Older homes often lack the quantity, size, and style of bathroom that we've come to expect and desire. This home required creative planning in order to carve out enough space for a simple, elegant, modern loo. With clean and crisp finishes this simple bath perfectly accomodates one's guests in style.
COMPLETE KITCHEN RENOVATION
Kitchens are one of my favorite spaces to design. Maybe that's because an early part of my career was in kitchen and bath cabinetry design. Plus, my inner organizational guru loves figuring out the most ergonomical layout and how to maximize storage. This kitchen was a dream because it was a true blank slate. Everything had to go, including the 5 layers of linoleum on the floor! What exists now is fresh, warm, simple, organized and contemporary.
No matter how brilliantly we re-worked the interior floor plan of this remodel, there was simply not enough square footage; as is typical in older homes. A small addition on the back of the house was the obvious solution and provided ample space for an additional bedroom that is bright and beautiful.
LIVING ROOM REVIVAL IN STYLE
To say that we revived this tired room is a bit of an understatement. It was more like open heart surgery! Not only did all the ceiling and wall coverings have to be removed, but the fireplace had to be completely re-built. The result is well worth it when you enter this inviting, energetic, open living space.
MODERN MAN CAVE, TRADITIONAL TOUCHES
These days every sports-loving, scotch-drinking modern man wants a man cave. Why not give it to him in style? An unused garage space was the perfect opportunity to carve out the ultimate cave. The client favors traditional styling and isn't afraid to make a bold statement. I'd say we scored with this one!
LOVELY LAUNDRY ROOM RENOVATIONS
Laundry rooms are one of the most underutilized spaces in design. Not only should you allocate enough square footage for this work-horse of a room, but it should also be pretty, inviting, and even fun. Afterall, countless hours are spent in this multi-purpose space so make it count in beauty and function.
